Its functional purpose is deliberately diminished, allowing the object’s evocative and symbolic qualities to come to the fore. Existing across multiple temporalities, the work may be read as an ancient artifact newly unearthed, a contemporary sculptural expression, or a fragment of a speculative future archaeology. Its formal presence and sculptural articulation recall ritual objects, lending the piece a quiet talismanic resonance.
