Sole and Notturno dining tables
Sole and Notturno are part of Muse, a collection of furniture crafted entirely from solid sand-cast bronze, exclusively showcased at Nilufar Gallery. The aesthetic language recalls celestial bodies in a primordial representation. Sun, Moon, Stars. All the original models for casting were made entirely by me in clay, reflecting an instinctive portrayal of the subjects. The modeling of the pieces is deliberately rough; the intention is to represent objects that have withstood the passage of time. The legs of the tables echo the geometry of ancient astronomical instruments, while the raffia of the Knossiana lampshades intentionally recalls a natural and primitive element that complements the metallic forms. A defining characteristic of the collection is its use of contrasting finishes. Some pieces retain their natural bronze finish, highlighting the material’s inherent beauty and evoking a solar presence, while others present a dark, nocturnal patina in deep shades of blue and green. Declined in an array of unique objects, the collection includes tables, side tables, mirrors, lamps, a console and a cabinet. This collection has been brought to life through the invaluable support, skills and dedication of Davide Campagner, his son Alessandro and the entire team at Fonderia Artistica Campagner.
